Birthday Girl

Hello
My daughter is turning 10 tomorrow, I am in complete denial and have been cursing father time all day!  I wanted to share the birthday card that I made for her.  As usual CTMH were my supplies of choice:
I used paper from the Roxie paper pack from CTMH.  I cut the cupcake out with the Artiste cricut cartridge, the words were cut with Artiste as well.  I embellished the frosting with CTMH clear sparkles, of course I had to get some blunt on here!  I wrapped smoothie bakers twine around it and added a black sparkle button. I used a bigger sparkle to dot the "I" and inked all the edged with smoothie ink.

Here is a close up of the bakers twine and button.

Ya gotta love the blunt! LOL!

There it is I hope you like my card.  Hopefully my daughter will like it to!
Until next time Happy Scrapping!

My new favorite thing

Hello!  I finally finished the bracket frame that I was working on.  These are becoming my new favorite thing!  I had a lot of fun working on it.  Hope you like it.

I used the CTMH bracket frame, I covered it with paper from the Roxie Paperpack.  I love this paper!  The flourishes are CTMH small flourishes, the flowers are rolled flowers cut from the Artiste cricut cartridge.  The leaves were cut using the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.  They were on a branch, I cut out two branches one at 2 inches and one at 2 and a half inches and then trimmed them off the branch.
Here is a close up of the rolled flowers, after you cut them you use a quilling tool to roll them aren't they the cutest thing you have ever seen!

I used the Aspire stamp set to stamp one of my favorite quotes in the whole world!
Now my daughters recital picture can be displayed and showcased!  I hope you like it!
Until next time Happy Scrapping!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Mine was especially good because the Patriots won on Saturday and are advancing in the playoffs!  I gave up my scrapping time to watch the game, since they won I don't regret it! LOL!
Anyway I have some Studio J layouts to share with you today.  I am not huge into digital scrapbooking, I like to use it once in a while to catch up.  I did all custom layouts in the Studio J software, you do have an option to pick a pre-made kit, but I like customizing my layouts as much as possible.  Here they are:

I ordered two of these layouts one for each of my kids books, you may recognize the paper pack it is Sparkle and Shine which is probably my favorite CTMH Christmas paper pack yet!  This is from this past Christmas.

Here is a "catch up" layout of my daughters first day in third grade, she is in fourth grade this year!

Another catch up layout of my sons first day of kindergarten, he is in first grade this year!

I love the pet themed paper in Studio J, and lets face it you can never have too many layouts featuring the furbabies!  I have more pictures of my beloved dogs than I do my kids!  Shhhhh, don't tell anyone!

That is it for now, I hope to be making another bracket frame tonight, so hopefully I will be posting that for you tomorrow!  Until then happy scrapping!

Thinking about the sun!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hello everyone, we have had some extremely cold weather here in New England lately, it has really made me think about summer and warmer days.  Here is the layout I came up with:

I used Footloose paper by Close To My Heart, this is one of those paper kits that I fell in love with but have been "saving" for a special day!  I find myself doing this all the time, I have to remember the reason I buy paper is to use it!  Part of my new years resolution is to use up at least half of "saved" stash.  Do you think I can do it?
This is all I have for today, I hope to do some scrapping this weekend, I will be sure to share what I come up with!

Hello!
We are in the middle of our first Noreaster here in New England,  what better time to papercraft!  Here is a card I made tonight with some paper from Close To My Heart that I have been saving for a while.

I am really happy with how it turned out!  Here is a close up of the main embellishment,  it is a chipboard heart covered with  coordinating paper topped with a foundry clip to hold the sentiment a bow and a button finished off with  white hemp.
Hope you like it and hopefully you will get some inspiration to go create something!

Hello!
Tonight I spent most of my crafty time re organizing my scraproom.  I did manage to get a one page layout done.  Here it is:

I am playing catch up trying to get some older pictures in the scrapbook.  I used all Close To My Heart products (of course!).

Here I used one of my favorite embellishment techniques, I covered chipboard stars with coordinating paper.  This is one of my favorite techniques, I love that you can make a dimensional element to perfectly coordinate with your project, and all you need is paper and chipboard.  So cute!

That is all for now, thanks for stopping by.  Oh I almost forgot, the new spring/summer CTMH catalog is going live on February 1, contact me to get your copy.  You are going to LOVE the new products, papers and stamps!
