Some After Holiday Tidbits

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.  I definitely did,  there is nothing better than watching the kids open all the treasures that Santa has brought.  The days and weeks leading up to all this fun are pretty hectic,  that is my excuse for not posting any crafty creations lately!
I did however manage to get a little crafting done.
One of my dilemmas every year is teacher gifts.  This year I bought them a nice ornament and made them these cute little post it note holders for their desks.  All done with  Close To My Heart papers on course!

I love the way these came out, such a quick easy gift.  The teachers all loved them.

Second project I wanted to share with you today is a birthday card I made to send to my Dad in Florida.  His birthday is two days after Christmas and I think this is the first year in a long time that I actually mailed his card in time to get there for his Birthday I always space it because I am crazy with all the Christmas hustle and bustle.  Anyway here is my card:

I used all Close To My Heart paper, embellishments, stamps and ink.

The tag was cut out using my coluzzle!  I am so sad they don't make this anymore, once I use up all the blades I bought when I heard it was being discontinued that will be it.

Love the Close To My Heart durables, these cute little embellishments are a great way to give a masculine look to anything!  Plus there is an added bonus that they have adhesive already on them!

Here is one last look at the finished product.

Last but not least here is the Christmas card I made for my wonderful hubby.  I used Pear and Partridge paper from Close To My Heart.

After I stamped and colored the Christmas tree I thought it needed something so out came the bling!

Here is a close up of the stamped gifts, tree and bling!  All from Close To My Heart.

 One final look!

That is it for now, I hope you enjoyed looking at my projects, I hope you will stop by again real soon.

Hip Pics Album Kit from Close to My Heart

Have you seen the Holiday Gift Guide from Close to My Heart? If not you have to check it out, it is filled with great holiday projects and the supplies to complete them all.  My hubby had to spend the night in the hospital the other night, (thank God he is ok), I really don't like when he isn't home, especially at night.  I felt like doing a project to pass the time but really wasn't in the mood to do any layouts.  Then I remembered that I had this great kit from the Holiday Gift Guide !  I also had so many soccer pictures from my sons soccer seasons, presto I had a quick easy project to do that came together awesome, what a great gift idea a book like this would be, here are some pictures:

I used the included stamps and die cuts as well as some my stickease from the game on paper pack that I had left over.

I also use some of my washi tape stash from my smash album

This kit makes it quick and easy to make a great minibook.  Photos slide in easily from the top and are instantly framed for you!  All you have to do is embellish however you want!  I love it!

Here I found a new use for those my stickease photo corners, I used them on a couple pages as a great embellishment.

I gave this book to my son, he is so excited to have his own book to display in his room!
Thanks for stopping by, hope I have inspired you to go create something!

Bracket Frame Fun

Hello!
My husband fell in love with this picture.  I had to do something with it besides just scrapping it, of course it is going in a layout as well but I decided to showcase it in this bracket frame from Close To My Heart  I doubled matted the picture using the Bella paper pack (one of my old favs) also from CTMH, I covered the frame and trimmed the paper to fit with my craft knife.  The embellishments are metal durables from close to my heart and I colored irresistible Chipboard letters with blush ink.  I think it came out pretty good.  Hope I have inspired you to showcase some of your favorite pictures!

If you would like to try this you can visit me at www.sonyaross.ctmh.com to order your bracket frame and all other supplies to complete this project.

You Rock!

Hello!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Here is a layout I did using Close To My Hearts You Rock paper collection, I absolutely love the colors in this great paper pack, check it out:

The stars and letters for the title were all cut out using my Art Philosophy cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart and then I glued them to Close To My Hearts coordinating chipboard.  Using the cricut cartridge made this layout quick and easy and everything matches perfectly!   My cricut was collecting dust in my scrap room until Close to My Heart came out with their cartridge collections, now it never stops!  I can not tell you how much I love love love these cartridges!

Here is another layout I did using the CTMH Felicity collection paper pack:
Once again I used the cricut to cut out all the triangles to line the top and bottom of my picture border, the flower at the top is a Close To My Heart wooden shape that I colored with CTMH sorbet ink, then I added sorbet buttons, brads and a tag, and presto!

Thanks for stopping by hope you like my layouts!\
See you soon!

Welcome!

 Hi There!
Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my blog, I know how busy you are and how valuable your time is.  This brings me to another thought, there just isn't enough time to do all the things we want to do is there?
I have wanted to start this blog for what seems like forever, I finally decided that it was important enough to me that I should make time for it so here I am!
I started scrapbooking over 10 years ago, what started as a basic fun way to display my pictures, has turned into an art, complete with an arsenal of toys, ahh I mean tools, paper in every color, style, and pattern possible.  At times it can get overwhelming!  I have to remember to BREATH!!!!!!!!!!
I want to share as many of my projects as possible with you with my main focus being on scrapbooking, I just think it is so important to document all these wonderful memories that my family and I are making, the kids grow up so fast and I know that one day I will blink and they will be all grown up (God forbid!) I don't want to end up with a pile of pictures that I don't even remember taking.
Our kids are the most photographed generation yet, it seems crazy to take all these pictures and do nothing with them, they are special, they are great reminders of out life, not only the big events but the daily hum drum stuff too, that is what our life is made up of mostly, not just big events its the daily goings on that are oh so important to not ever forget.
I always try to write stuff down or put a note in my phone in my oh so important Evernote app, (if you are not using Evernote shame on you! It is a must have can not live without will change your life app so download it after you read the rest of this post!)
This being said, the first thing I want to share with you is the first project I have made in over 3 years that is not made with my beloved Close To My Heart products, you wont' see me put many of these up here but I am really proud of how this came out and want to share it as my first official post.
This is a brag book I made for my cousin and his fabulous girlfriend, they are expecting a baby any day now and I wanted to make sure they could start saving memories right away someplace other than a dreaded photo album.  Hope you like it and I will see you soon with a new project, that will be made with Close to My Heart goodies!

This book is filled with tags, and pull outs and mats that can be used for all those precious baby pictures or for journaling all the special moments that happen when a baby arrives!!!
